Russia has over a hundred nationalities, some of which are on the verge of extinction. The Mordovian ethnos is not in the direct risk zone, but it has halved in the last 100 years. One of the features of this people is its heterogeneity, it is divided into Erzu and Moksha, and those, respectively, into many dialects. One of the centres of such an isolated dialect is the Mordovian village of Shoksha, which received its name from the nearest river—Moksha. This village, founded in the XVI century and at its best, had up to 4 thousand people. Now there are only 300 people living there and every year more and more of them are left behind.
